Remember - if none of the above apply, it's time to hit the pavement and keep on strolling! So far in my life I'd managed to avoid being in any choking corporate coffee chains but my pallet has now been tainted by the overpriced caffeine juice.
The greeting and service on the counter was friendly and efficient at this branch cafe nero brighton Café Nero. I guess that prime it's freshly brewed. Great way to learn a new trade with plenty of room to progress. Wonderful company, fun and loyal. This view is obviously shared by many people in Brighton as you can see that it is their coffee shop of choice. The stores themselves can be real fun to work in, however there are a lot of demands placed on your personal time, you are expected to attend out of hours parties or explain why, you are expected to be available hours before your shift starts if they call you in and also elements after so don't you dare make any sort of appointment because if you refuse to stay you can be subject to disciplinary action, believe me, they will find something to blame you for so they can call you in for That. I love sitting at this Caffe File in the heart of the Lanes in Brighton and watching the world go by.
I guess that means it's freshly brewed? We'll have so much fun together once you do. A great place to meet people as well.
Nero’s Espresso Cafe - Unfortunately the hours are long i. The staff are efficient, friendly and happy to serve you.
Let's be honest, you don't come here for the good coffee, you come here because its beautifully decorated. It's not a plain Jane Starbucks, it's somewhere that looks and feels nicer than home. It is better than Starbucks because it doesn't have that slight burnt aftertaste afterwards. But they put so little ice it becomes watered down fast too unlike Starbucks. Also, Cafe Nero doesn't nearly have as many flavors as Starbucks, I think there are three? They also have a list of teas, smoothies or some other strange things I never bother to ask about. A iced Chai Latte? Go to Starbucks if you don't want melted ice and grits at the bottom of your drink. I guess that means it's freshly brewed? No thanks, still not better than Starbucks premix. Honestly, its a franchise I believe now. If I go here, it's because I want to sit there for a couple hours. I would never actively seek this place out. I drink lattes regularly, it is not a place I go out of my way because I think they have great coffee. It's average and watered down. They can't make iced drinks properly. I can't attest to their food because I'm not a fan of pastries or sandwiches. They at least look less processed than Starbucks. Anyway, that's my two cents. A really good spot to meet up with a friend or get some work done! The cappuchino is reasonably priced and very quality. There are three sizes small, medium, large and while I find the medium very reasonably sized, sometimes I need that large for those particular days. Location is great and its usually not too full, but it can be hard to snag one of the prime spots. Service is great and there is a rewards card so go back again and again! I've been to Caffe Nero a couple times, but this location is probably my favorite. The environment is definitely brighter and bigger. Other locations are just so dark and it strains my eyes to even study there. But with this Allston location, there's bright lights and you can rely on the natural day lighting. With that being said, the display here is so cute. The baristas here are more cheerful and welcoming. With that being said, I love coming here for the hot chocolate!
